Holistic Floater Educator Full-time Grades Kindergarten - 5
Summary
About our School
Our holistic outdoor learning community serves children in between ECE and Middle School, and our Grades K–5 through nature-based, student-centered, and whole-child education. We integrate experiential science, social-emotional learning, creative exploration, and movement into daily learning—meeting children where they are and honoring their natural curiosity.
Position Overview
This position is very unique and a blend between support for our E.D/Administration and also support for our Lead teachers and team. Our floater position is a full-time, adaptable educator who supports multiple classrooms and age groups (to cover planning time or teacher absences) but also co-creates with our Director's office, supporting to work on project based tasks, supporting school tours and covering the office as needed for teacher support.
Because we are well staffed and this is to give extra support due to high enrollment demand for the 26-27 SY, we are looking to hire on early so we are feeling grounded and balanced.
Creative projects may include supporting helping to set-up for our artisan market, or classes/students; however, the majority of your time is spent supporting our children (approximately a 80/20 or 90/10 schedule between the classroom and the office).
This role is ideal for a multi-faceted educator who thrives in dynamic and very positive environments, enjoys working outdoors, and has a passion for science, inquiry-based learning, and alternative education models.
We have horses on site, and gardens, and it would be great if you could see yourself falling in love with our 5.5-acre campus setting, and can't wait to offer learning in our creative and holistic spaces.
Our Floaters play a very VERY vital role in maintaining continuity, support, and enrichment across the school day, and we love and appreciate them so much —stepping in where needed while building meaningful relationships with students, staff and parents, and being part of a strong sisterhood, that lifts each other up and co-creates in positivity and with highest intent, integrity, and honesty, is at the core.
We are a very unique organization, and unique blend of multi-cultural (world-educated) mentors. Please ONLY apply if you live a green/healthy/conscious lifestyle, understand the need to stay on top of healthy protocols for longevity, and are a deeply connected and feeling individual. We do not have the capacity to educate you about why organic / local food is valuable, why we grow what we eat (veggies/herbs), and why we practice healthy modules every day to stay ahead of toxic exposure. Your energy and attitude is what affects every being around you, so we also only hire individuals who can display love, compassion, and are well-balanced in their daily lives.
