Job Description

A Billing Specialist is to assist in processing a high volume of shipment paperwork for weekly invoice submissions and driver compensation. The ideal candidate must be very detail oriented with ability to complete billing functions at a fast pace with high accuracy and excellent customer service.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Break down, actualize, and scan shipment paperwork and review for accuracy
• Invoice completed shipment paperwork and ensure that customer requirements are met
• Compensate necessary drivers for shipments completed during a billing/payroll cycle
• Run and process necessary weekly reports for invoicing and payroll
• Complete and run driver pay settlements and review for accuracy
• Mail/E-mail customer invoices to the appropriate locations
• Communicate with drivers about paperwork or payroll discrepancies
• Respond to customer request for invoice copies, backup paperwork, and invoice discrepancies
• Assist management with reviewing and researching outstanding invoices for past due accounts
• Other job-related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of experience with high volume billing
• Chemical transportation billing experience preferred
• Detail oriented
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work side by side with other Billing team members
• TMW Systems and Synergize experience preferred but not required
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office programs
• Excellent communication skills
