Environmental Technician II

What You’ll Do
You’ll apply principles of science and engineering to tackle technical challenges and help protect the environment. Whether you're in the field collecting data, operating equipment, responding to environmental emergencies, or overseeing subcontractors—your work will be hands-on and mission-critical.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct environmental monitoring and site investigations
Collect samples (soil, groundwater, surface water) for field and lab analysis
Operate and maintain field equipment and tools
Perform manual/mechanical remediation tasks
Respond to emergency and non-emergency spills
Maintain thorough and accurate field documentation
Communicate with clients professionally on-site
Adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations
Implement QA/QC procedures and follow safety protocols
Location & Travel Requirements
This position will support our crews in the Carrizo area , so out-of-town travel will be required Monday through Friday . Fieldwork is an essential part of this role, and flexibility to travel and work in a variety of outdoor conditions is a must.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of relevant field experience
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving ability
Dependable team player with leadership potential
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
Willingness and ability to travel to remote job sites
Physically able to lift 50+ lbs., bend, stoop, climb, and wear PPE in all weather conditions

Work Environment
