Körber Supply Chain LLC is looking for a Service Manager who will oversee all post-installation service activities and customer service operations for our postal automation systems across North America. This role is critical to ensuring high system up time, customer satisfaction, and long-term service contract performance. The Service Manager will lead a team of field service engineers and technicians, manage service contracts, coordinate with internal departments, and drive continuous improvement across all service operations.

Your role in our team

  • You will manage and mentor a team of service technicians and field engineers supporting postal automation equipment.
  • You will provide training, development, and performance feedback to the service team.
  • You will assign resources to ensure timely responses and resolutions to customer service needs.
  • You will oversee daily service operations, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
  • You will ensure adherence to SLAs and contractual service commitments.
  • You will maintain detailed documentation of service visits, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • You will act as the escalation point for complex or critical customer service issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with key customer stakeholders.
  • You will collaborate with project managers and installation teams to ensure a smooth transition from project completion to the service phase.
  • You will support commissioning and early operational phases as needed.
  • You will track service metrics (e.g., uptime, response time, resolution rate), analyze trends, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • You will prepare and present regular service reports to the leadership team and customers.
  • You will promote and enforce compliance with company safety procedures, customer site protocols, and applicable regulatory standards (e.g., OSHA).

Your profile

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • You have experience working with large-scale integrators and postal or e-commerce distribution systems.
  • You have knowledge of SCADA, PLC systems, and industrial controls.
  • You have proficiency in service management platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceMax, or SAP.
  • You have a Six Sigma or Lean certification (preferred).
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You have proven experience managing service teams across multiple sites or regions.
  • You have a strong understanding of postal automation systems, material handling equipment, or related technologies.
  • You have the ability to travel up to 50% based on customer and project needs.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in field service management or maintenance of automation or industrial systems.
