Our client is a worldwide hydrocarbon production and exploration company based in the energy corridor of Midland, Texas. A multinational corporation with operations in 15 different countries, this client is responsible for the production, transportation, and marketing of crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and liquefied natural gas.

Job Summary

The Land Analyst supports Land Asset Teams by researching, analyzing, and maintaining oil and gas leases and Exploration & Production contracts to ensure accurate ownership and contract data. Generates reports using systems such as Quorum Land System and Business Objects and assists in tracking lease and contract obligations. Collaborates with cross-functional teams including Operations, Development, and Legal to support efficient land and asset management.

Job Description

• Assists Land Asset Teams in acquiring and maintaining oil & gas leases and Exploration & Production contracts focusing on research, creating various reports, and analysis of data.
• Researches and analyzes leases and contracts, determining working interest, and net revenue interest in new wells, workovers, and recompletions.
• Develops and maintains network relationships with other groups within company, i.e., Operations, Development, OBO, and Legal.
• Creates various reports from Quorum Land System or Business Objects.
• Gathers and analyzes data for contract and lease obligations reports.

Skills Required

• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• Moving towards full competency.
• Requires a broader, general understanding of discipline.
• Identifies problems and develops potential solutions.
• Makes decisions within well-defined parameters

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Degree or GED
