The Department of Sociology at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV) occasionally has the need to hire Graduate Students to assist in the areas of teaching (TAs), research (RAs), or administration (GAs). Discipline Specific Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Enrollment in the Sociology MS or Disaster Studies MA program. If hired as Graduate Teaching Assistant, must have 18 hours of advanced hours in Sociology. Discipline Specific Required Qualifications: Graduate coursework in Sociology Preferred Qualification: Research or teaching experience is desirable, as well as ability to use technology to support teaching and learning. Ability to teach online is preferred.
