Diesel Mechanic
Position: Diesel Mechanic (C&M Precast Concrete)

In order to continue providing the highest level of service, we are seeking a talented and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and servicing our fleet of diesel trucks and equipment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our business by ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a diesel mechanic, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and diagnostic tests on diesel trucks and equipment
- Repair and replace defective parts, components or systems, using hand and power tools
- Conduct inspections and troubleshoot issues to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and safe operation of vehicles and equipment
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed
- Work with other team members to ensure all vehicles and equipment are ready for daily operations
- Source and order necessary parts and equipment to complete repairs
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a diesel mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems
- Proficiency in computer diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Ability to read and interpret vehicle and equipment manuals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Working Conditions:
The Diesel Mechanic will primarily work within the shop but may occasionally be required to work in outdoor conditions. The position may require some heavy lifting and physical exertion. Occasional weekend or evening work may be necessary during periods of high demand or emergency repairs.
