Family Resource Center (Project HOPES)

Location: Eagle Pass, Texas

Serving Children and Adults in Need (SCAN) is seeking a Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our Family Resource Center (FRC) under Project HOPES, a program serving families with young children. The Family Resource Center (FRC) provides family support services, resource navigation, and family engagement activities to promote child safety, development, and overall family well-being.

Position Summary:

Provides administrative and program support to the FRC Coordinator, assists with family services, and supports outreach and engagement activities.

Key Resposibilities:

• Provide administrative and clerical support (filing, copying, data collection, organizing materials).
• Assist the FRC Coordinator with daily operations and program activities.
• Make reminder calls and follow-ups with families regarding services and events.
• Support and participate in outreach activities and community events.
• Assist with planning and implementation of family events, including helping with childcare during activities.
• Provide direct and supportive interaction with families.
• Run program-related errands as needed.
• Help prepare materials and supplies for events.

Work Schedule:

• Part-time position with flexible schedule.
• Weekly hours may vary based on program needs and scheduled activities.
• Availability for evenings and weekends is required, depending on events and outreach activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be flexible, organized, and responsive to changing program needs.
• Basic computer skills (including Microsoft Office/ Excel)
• Service-oriented and able to work with diverse families
• Experience working with families, children, or in a social services setting preferred.
