Senior Data Analyst
Senior Data Analyst (Integrated Eligibility Systems):
Total Required Experience in Years: 14%2B Years
Mode of Work: Hybrid (Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of Austin, TX)
The Senior Data Analyst will support Integrated Eligibility systems throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), partnering with business and technical stakeholders to analyze business processes, define requirements, evaluate technology solutions, and deliver actionable data insights. The role involves conducting business and data analysis, facilitating JAD sessions, performing complex SQL analysis, designing dashboards and KPIs, and supporting modernization initiatives for enterprise eligibility systems. Experience with the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS) is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Integrated Eligibility systems through the complete SDLC from requirements gathering to implementation.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand business objectives and operational challenges.
Analyze business processes, operational procedures, and user requirements.
Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
Lead Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions.
Elicit, analyze, and document functional and business requirements.
Develop detailed business process documentation and workflow analysis.
Define system input/output requirements and reporting needs.
Analyze data to identify automation and process improvement opportunities.
Develop and execute complex SQL queries and joins.
Perform data quality assessments and validation.
Design dashboards, reports, metrics, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations.
Review system capabilities, technical specifications, and implementation constraints.
Document user requirements, program functions, technical designs, and analytical findings.
Collaborate with development, testing, and project teams throughout implementation.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support enterprise reporting and analytics initiatives.
Maintain business and technical documentation.
Recommend process improvements and data governance best practices.
Present analytical findings to business and technical stakeholders.
Participate in testing, implementation, and production support activities.
Support occasional after-hours activities when required.
Required Skills:
Minimum 14 years of IT experience supporting technology solution design, development, or delivery.
Minimum 8 years of experience supporting Integrated Eligibility Systems .
Minimum 8 years of Business Analysis and Data Analysis experience.
Extensive experience throughout the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Strong experience conducting JAD Sessions .
Experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements.
Strong experience documenting business processes and analytical findings.
Advanced SQL skills, including:
Complex Queries
Multi-table Joins
Data Analysis
Data Validation
Experience performing data quality analysis.
Experience designing:
Dashboards
Performance Metrics
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Experience translating business needs into technology solutions.
Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and presentation abilities.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS) .
Experience supporting public-sector or healthcare eligibility systems.
Experience with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms.
Knowledge of data governance and reporting best practices.
Experience with large-scale government modernization projects.
Qualifications:
Proven experience delivering enterprise business and data analysis solutions.
Strong understanding of business processes, system analysis, and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Master\'s degree preferred.
Certifications:
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) Preferred
PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) Preferred
Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate Preferred
