The world’s top companies across every major industry trust Teradata to improve business performance, enrich customer experiences, and fully integrate data across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do

This role leads a territory consisting of strategic accounts, and the Senior Account Executive is responsible for driving Teradata’s growth by proactively developing and expanding executive-level relationships. You will establish strong partnerships, build consensus across diverse stakeholders, and help clients navigate rapid industry and technological change.

To be successful, you’ll bring executive presence, knowledge across multiple industries, and the ability to engage in both business and technical conversations at multiple levels of an organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and possess the ability to lead a highly matrixed team to drive complex, end-to-end sales to closure. This person is a self-starter with a growth mindset, willing to think outside-the-box to collectively solve for clients’ complex needs.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Build alignment with clients around Teradata’s modern cloud and AI vision, enabling financial services organizations to achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop, set, and execute account strategies to drive overall territory growth and deepen client engagement.
  • Serve as the “face of Teradata” to the customer, and the “voice of the customer” within Teradata.
  • Lead account planning, pipeline development, sales process management, and revenue generation for assigned accounts.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of business priorities, and data and analytics ecosystems to effectively position Teradata’s solutions and articulate ROI.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision makers and key influencers within client organizations.
  • Coordinate Teradata’s engagement across multiple functions, leveraging solution specialists and partner resources when necessary.

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll collaborate closely across Teradata’s Go-To-Market and partner ecosystem—including System Integrators (SI), Cloud Service Providers (CSP), and Independent Software Vendors (ISV)—to accelerate opportunities and deliver outcomes for clients.

What Makes You a Qualified Candidate

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of growing revenue within existing accounts and successfully expanding into new lines of business.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing senior executive relationships (Sr. Director, VP, and C-level) in the financial services industry.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong awareness of AI, data, and analytics trends, and how they shape financial services customer needs.
  • Broad experience across a number of industries and the ability to articulate Teradata’s ability to solve business problems and drive ROI.
  • Experience positioning and selling complex analytic or technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with sales tools, processes, and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations and documents for client stakeholders.

Work Environment & Travel

This position is working in a virtual office environment, including home office and customer site. A combination of independent work and team collaboration will be required. Travel up to 50% is also expected. Dallas area is preferred.
