Get to Know Your Team:

• BSA provides 24-hour paramedic care through our ambulance service, which responds to emergencies in Canyon and 825 square miles of Randall County. BSA EMS staffs two stations 24/7/365, one in northern Randall County and one in Canyon.

• The Basic EMT is responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established protocols, Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System Policies, and Department Guidelines.
• Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, Baptist St. Anthony’s Policies, and Department Guidelines.
• Accepts other tasks as assigned by the Emergency Medical Service Director.

Job Requirements:

• High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.

• Certification or licensure as an EMT-Basic by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider completion.

• Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction “A” permissible.

• Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency.

• National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 80 days of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS).

• Field experience.

• National Registry.
