We’re searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Engineering team and play a key role in driving our vision forward.What You’ll Do:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer , you will be at the heart of our aviation lighting innovation , providing advanced mechanical design and engineering expertise to develop cutting-edge lighting products for commercial and military aircraft. You’ll:
- Lead the design, development, and documentation of innovative mechanical components and systems.
- Solve complex design challenges using sound engineering principles and advanced analysis techniques.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation in accordance with engineering policies.
- Identify and implement new tools, methods, and processes to improve quality and productivity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to ensure product excellence.
- Conduct structural, thermal, and tolerance analyses to ensure product reliability and performance.
- Detect and resolve defects using precise engineering tools and methodologies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with co-workers, customers, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as ANSYS, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, or SolidEdge.
- Experience with structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis.
- Knowledge of total quality, lean manufacturing, and design for manufacturability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Prior experience with LED lighting, RTCA DO-160 standards, electro-mechanical drivetrains and motors, and materials such as machined components, sheet metal, and injection molding is a plus.
