Role Summary
The Principal Engineer will act as a technical visionary and systems architect , driving large-scale technical initiatives, shaping product and platform direction, and mentoring engineers. This role requires deep technical experience (10+ years) , architectural leadership, and comfort working across AI, fintech, and compliance-heavy domains .
Key Responsibilities
- Architect complex, scalable systems across the TypeScript (React + Node) stack
- Lead multi-team technical initiatives , defining product and infra direction
- Deliver AI-driven agentic solutions aligned with future MCP-driven models
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Data leaders
- Establish shared frameworks, libraries, and standards to boost velocity
- Drive technical excellence (security, observability, performance, maintainability)
- Mentor senior and staff engineers, building culture of bold, thoughtful innovation
- Influence engineering strategy, technology choices, build vs. buy, and hiring
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years in software engineering (hands-on & architectural experience)
- Proven record leading large, complex technical projects
- Expertise in TypeScript, React, Node.js, cloud-native development
- Strong system design and abstraction skills
- Background in fintech, insurance tech, or compliance-heavy industries preferred
- Interest in AI coding tools, LLMs, ML-driven systems
- Comfortable with remote-first, fast-paced, startup environment
