Summary

Focuses on developing, identifying, and analyzing existing general business processes to ensure sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable improvements.

Responsibilities

• Applies process definition, improvement, and design methodologies to identify, analyze, and improve business processes which will improve quality, reduce costs, increase efficiencies/productivity, and increase customer satisfaction.
• Develops documentation to support analysis and improvement including business requirements, functional specifications, process maps, and gap/problem analysis.
• Plans and implements quality assurance and compliance processes.
• May support development of training and/or change management materials and activities to support new processes and procedures.
• Research best business practices within and outside the organization to establish benchmark data.
• Determines how new information technologies can support re-engineering business processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree

• Industrial/Systems Engineering, Engineering, Business or a related technical field

Preferred

• Requires theoretical knowledge, often gained through a combination of experience and/or advanced education, typically college / university degree
• Preferred Master's Degree: Industrial/Systems Engineering, Engineering, Business, or related technical field

Required Certifications / Licensure

• Six Sigma Green Belt (SSGB)/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (LSSGB) to be completed within one year of placement in position.

Preferred Certifications / Licensure

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Six Sigma Black Belt (SSBB)/Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB), or Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)

Equivalent Education and/or Experience

• Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with continuous improvement methodologies and tools (LSS, PDCA, QA/QC tools, SPC, RCA, CAPA, statistical testing, MSA, time studies)
• Prefer working knowledge of or hands-on experience developing and effectively using simulation to solve complex business process challenges
• Prefer knowledge of project management processes / methodologies and be able to develop, lead and manage multiple projects, utilizing PM framework
• Must have solid presentation and computer skills (Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, Excel, and Project), statistical software (i.e. Minitab), and prefer experience with simulation software.
• May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both the educational and the experience requirements.
• Simulation experience preferred
