Data Engineer
We're looking for experienced Data Engineers to join our client's team, a pioneering force in the rapidly expanding HealthTech industry. This is a remarkable opportunity to join a team dedicated to revolutionizing healthcare through data-driven solutions. You will play a vital role in developing and maintaining data pipelines and infrastructure that support advanced patient care insights, clinical research, and personalized health management platforms.
In this role, you'll work closely with medical professionals, product managers, and other engineers to understand healthcare data requirements and implement robust solutions. This is your chance to work on critical data pipelines and systems that power their HealthTech applications, handle large volumes of sensitive patient data, and help enhance engineering practices to meet stringent regulatory standards.
Who You Are
2-3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer working with large volumes of data, preferably within distributed systems or cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Beam, or similar.
Strong programming skills in Java, Scala, or Python.
Understanding of agile development principles, data-driven approaches, and the importance of data reliability.
Hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or similar.
Where You'll Be
We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! For this role, you can be within the North American region as long as we have a work location. This team operates within the EST time zone for effective collaboration.
What You'll Do:
Design and implement scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant data pipelines for the efficient collection, processing, and storage of high-volume, sensitive healthcare data (e.g., electronic health records, genomic data, wearable sensor data).
Maintain and enhance critical data reporting and analytics pipelines, ensuring they provide timely, accurate, and compliant insights for clinical decision-making and operational efficiency.
Collaborate closely with medical experts, data scientists, and product teams to understand their unique data needs and translate them into technical solutions that address complex healthcare challenges.
Develop high-quality code that is scalable, testable, maintainable, and adheres to strict industry standards for data privacy and security.
Work alongside engineers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders, embracing daily opportunities for learning and leadership within a regulated and fast-paced environment.
Monitor daily execution, diagnose issues, and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met by actively maintaining and optimizing business-critical data pipelines.
Build and deploy distributed, high-volume data services, ensuring their stable and secure operation in production environments.
