Lab Scientist
MUST have a certification as a Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
Our client in Fort Worth, Texas, is seeking a full-time Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join its Core Lab team. Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and monitor a wide range of laboratory tests aligned with department standards and regulatory guidelines
- Accurately report test results in a timely manner, supporting patient diagnosis and treatment
- Conduct instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting independently
- Follow strict quality control, safety, and infection prevention procedures
- Maintain adequate lab inventory and manage supplies efficiently
- Foster strong communication with lab peers, clinical teams, and external partners
- Support education and training of new team members and students
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field; or 4+ years of qualifying lab experience
- Experience: At least 2 years of Core Lab experience in a high-volume clinical setting strongly preferred
- Certification: Must hold a valid certification from at least one of the following:
- American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
- American Medical Technologists (AMT)
- American Association of Bioanalysts (AAB)
- American Board of Histocompatibility (ABHI)
- Grandfathered HEW licensee also accepted
- Additional accepted credentials: CLS, MT, MLS, SCT, SCYM, SMB, CHS-ABHI, CHT-ABHI
- Solid understanding of clinical lab protocols, equipment, and information systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and in team environments
