Sales Tax Return Team Leader

Our Sales Tax Returns business is exploding. We are looking to add two Sales Tax Return Team Leaders who have experience filing sales tax returns for multiple clients in multiple states either in a fast-paced high-volume 3rd party environment or who file more than 100 plus returns a month for their own company.

Location is not important as the position is 100% remote. However, due to increasingly tough labor and tax laws, we only hire in the following states: Alabama Arizona Arkansas Indiana Kansas Kentucky Michigan Minnesota Mississippi Missouri Oklahoma South Carolina South Dakota Tennessee Texas Utah Virginia West Virginia Wisconsin Wyoming. This is a full-time W2 position. It is not part-time work. Must be located in the US

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least two years of recent experience filing at least 100 sales tax returns per month.
• Ideal candidates will have third-party sales tax return preparation experience for multiple clients in multiple states in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
• Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of sales tax return preparation, filing, and payment experience.
• We are a fast-paced high-volume firm. You must be able to work quickly and accurately.
• Prior supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Team leaders will be responsible for developing and nurturing a team of sales tax return filers. Team leaders not only instill teamwork within the team but across the filing department.
• Team leaders will be responsible for making sure the team archives its goals as well as the department hitting its combined goal.
• Team leaders are also responsible for personal production and clients will be assigned to the sales tax team leader who will manage all aspects of the sales tax returns filing process. This may include data retrieval, funds request, processing and filing of sales tax returns, payment processing, notice clearing and account reconciliation.
• Team Leaders are expected to accurately file at least 350 returns a month.

Compensation includes a base salary of $55,000-$65,000 plus additional bonuses. There are advancement opportunities to become a manager. We are ultimately looking to create a VP of returns services.
