Job Title: RN - PCU/IMC Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Description: This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care. The assignment is for 13 weeks with day shifts, requiring flexibility for rotating weekends. The unit has 32 beds with a patient ratio of 1:4. Daily staffing includes 9 RNs, 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 2 Tele Monitor Technicians on day shifts. Night shifts typically have 9 RNs, 2 or 3 Patient Care Technicians, and 2 Tele Monitor Technicians. Candidates will be responsible for pre and post-operative care. Skills in drip titration and non-titration drips are essential. The unit is equipped with patient-specific equipment, IV pumps, SCD pumps, BiPAP/CPAP, and telemetry monitors. Familiarity with the Meditech electronic medical record system is preferred. We seek individuals who demonstrate a willingness to grow and learn. A positive attitude is essential for fitting within the team dynamic. Dress code requires navy scrubs, and candidates should avoid unacceptable attire.
