OTR HazMat Company driver (W-2) Job in Lubbock, TX by HMD Trucking

Requirements

• 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
• Hazmat endorsement
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
• No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
• No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
• Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

Based in Lubbock, TX, this OTR solo role focuses on nationwide HAZMAT freight with an emphasis on safe, regulatory-compliant deliveries and dependable route execution.

Core responsibilities:

• Operate company-provided late-model tractors (APUs, inverters, sleepers) on long-haul OTR routes.
• Handle HAZMAT loads following DOT and company procedures; complete accurate logs, inspections, and paperwork.
• Coordinate with dispatch and report maintenance needs to in-house service.

Qualifications & compensation:

• Valid CDL-A and at least 12 months driving experience.
• Starting at 65 CPM + an additional 4 CPM when hauling HAZMAT; averages ~2,500 miles weekly, with benefits, bonuses, and home every three weeks.
