Associate Dean for the College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science

Full-time position. Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities may occasionally require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

This position is the first point of contact for all incoming communication, including walk-in traffic, for the College of Aviation and Aeronautical Science. The position interfaces with the general public, students, administration and staff.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Greet and assist in a friendly and professional way all visitors, prospective students, students, faculty, and staff entering the office.
• Answer multiple telephone lines and direct calls.
• Distribute information and communication to appropriate faculty and staff members.
• Serve as the primary proctor for the FAA testing center. Schedule and administer tests through computer testing center for both LeTourneau University students and the general public.
• Organize and keep current FAA paperwork for student files for the maintenance training program,.
• Prepare faculty schedules and classroom schedules each semester.
• Manage the AAC workroom and break room including maintaining and ordering office supplies and break room supplies.
• Assist in school and university ceremonies and events.
• Support school’s Facebook page with updates.
• Prepare employment forms for student workers.
• Handle all textbook adoptions and orders for the AAC faculty.
• Generate and control all blanket and miscellaneous purchase orders for the AAC.
• Provide assistance to the Flight Department Administrative assistant as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean and assist other Academic Secretaries.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Calendar
• Ability to relate well to students, faculty, and staff
• Experience reconciling accounts and working with billing processes
• Quick learner and ability to respond well in multi-task environment
• Ability to protect sensitive information
• Ability to produce accurate, organized work and meet recurring deadlines

• Ability to work well as part of a team
