Inside Sales
Position Title : Inside Sales
Location: Houston, TX
Assignment Type: 4-month contract with potential for
contract-to-hire
Compensation : $26-$28
Work Schedul e: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (60% in office/ 40% Work from home)
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision,
and 401(k).

Your Role
The Inside Sales Representative role is hands-on and fast-paced, supporting immediate customer needs through quoting and inside sales activities. This position is primarily remote with limited onsite presence each week and will begin as a temporary role with the potential to convert based on business needs.
You will work closely with the Inside and Outside Sales teams to support sales efforts, build pipelines, and strengthen customer relationships. Ongoing training is a key part of the role, including learning product offerings and developing technical knowledge to effectively support customers. Long-term growth opportunities may include outside sales or technical-focused paths.
Key Responsibilities
• Learn and understand industrial products and their applications
• Prepare timely and accurate customer quotes using ERP systems
• Partner cross-functionally with sales, technical support, manufacturing, and purchasing teams
• Follow up on quotes to drive conversion
• Conduct inside sales prospecting, including cold calling and lead qualification
• Research and develop target customer lists
• Maintain CRM records and sales metrics
• Ensure leads and opportunities are properly followed through
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, and third-party partners
• Prioritize tasks independently and manage multiple workstreams
• Provide regular updates on quote and order status
• Support technical support teams by assisting with inbound inquiries as needed
Additional Responsibilities
• Follow company safety policies and procedures
• Stay adaptable in a changing environment and assist with additional duties as needed
• Collaborate with team members and contribute ideas to improve sales and customer experience
Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in inside sales or customer service
• Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or electromechanical environments preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required (associate degree preferred)
• Proven ability to cold call, set appointments, and engage customers
• Comfortable interacting with stakeholders at all levels
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to learn technical concepts quickly
• Positive, proactive attitude
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
