We’re looking for a Bilingual Field Application Engineer to cover the South U.S. (15 states) plus LATAM – Caribbean, Central, and North America. This role is hands-on: supporting projects, training partners, and making sure our solutions win in the field. You’ll bridge business and technical needs, working side-by-side with installers, distributors, and decision makers. Expect travel, bilingual (English/Spanish) a must. Strong technical background in solar + storage, confident presenting and troubleshooting. Goal: make Sol-Ark the most reliable choice in every project. Travel required 50% of the time. Field road trips + Sol-Ark Van trips included.

Requirements:Technical Guidance:
- Provide technical assistance to customers, installers, and sales teams, addressing inquiries related to solar inverters and energy storage systems.
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges and ensure customer satisfaction.
System Integration and Commissioning:
- Support customers in integrating solar inverters and energy storage systems into their existing infrastructure.
- Assist with system commissioning, including equipment configuration, firmware upgrades, and performance testing.
- Conduct on-site inspections and audits to ensure proper installation and adherence to industry standards and guidelines.
Training and Product Demonstrations:
- Conduct technical training sessions for customers, installers, and internal teams on solar inverter and energy storage system technologies.
- Develop and deliver product demonstrations, showcasing the features, capabilities, and benefits of our solutions.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in solar inverter and energy storage technologies and share knowledge with the team and customers.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create technical documentation, including installation guides, provide feedback on product manuals, and best practice documents.
- Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer feedback and field observations to drive product improvement.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and proactively addressing their requirements.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution design, and proposal development.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling based on customer requirements and project specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites, to provide on-site support and assistance.
- Experience infield applications engineering, preferably in solar inverters and energy storage systems.
- NABCEP certification a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of solar inverter technologies, energy storage systems, and their integration into renewable energy systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to solar energy and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in electrical system design, power electronics, and control systems.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues infield deployments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
