Senior Accountant – In-Office
Direct Hire; up to 90K
Northwest Houston

**NetSuite highly preferred

Duties:

• Handle sales and use tax reporting for multiple states including reconciliation, discrepancies, and credits
• Execute general accounting procedures including processing journal entries and accruals
• Record monthly revenues, expenses, and inventory activity for multi-million-dollar company and related entities
• Prepare monthly bank, cash, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Record daily cash activity into accounting information system using online banking tools and bank statements/reports
• Assist in month end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
• Assist with year-end audits and sales tax audit
• Assist in inventory accounting adjustments and analyze inventory discrepancies
• Ensure accounting procedures are followed and communicate exceptions to management
• Work as a team with accounting team in standardizing practices and procedures
• Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, trends, and other matters impacting the effectiveness of the operations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required with proven track record of academic and professional excellence
• 3 to 5 years of related experience
• Intermediate Excel skills with ability to create formulas (V-lookups a PLUS); strong Microsoft Office Suite; NetSuite experience HIGHLY preferred
• Manage goals through collaboration and teamwork as a strong communicator
• Excellent mathematical and computational skills; strong problem-solving
• Experienced and skilled in reconciliations
