Application Security Architect and Product Security Incident Responder
Job Duties
- Operating under general autonomy, this position is recognized as a leading authority in a field both inside and outside of the company, and provides advisory and consulting work for the Halliburton IT organization.
- Understands, advocates, and supports Halliburton's business and IT strategies.
- Keeps abreast of new technology advancements that have potential impact or application in Halliburton.
- Acts as a subject matter expert advisor to Sr. Executive Management within Halliburton on critical technology issues.
- Formulates solutions for problems of exceptional difficulty and importance to the organization or the industry, where problems are characterized by their lack of a technology precedent or lack of success of prior research.
- Makes decisions and recommendations that have far reaching impact on technology activities of the company.
- Applies theories, principles and practices to the research and development of new and improved products, processes and procedures.
- Oversees the evaluation and selection of EA standards.
- Has a proven track record on critical problem solving.
- Participates in, makes significant contributions to, and may provide Leadership in Professional Societies.
- Accomplishments are often recognized by honors or awards from Professional Societies.
- Serves as a mentor to lower level staff.
- Job role is accountable for providing new and novel technology advancements that make crucial contributions to company products, services, and programs and that directly impact financial results for one or more product service lines or corporate functions.
- The person will have shown significant performance in at least two IT disciplines such as Technical Architecture, Applications Development, Network Management, Information Analysis, or Data Management.
- Skills typically acquired through the completion of 18+ years of experience in Technology Leadership and an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
- Completion of a Master's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline is preferred.
