Job Title: Learning Technology & AI Solutions Consultant
Location-Type: Onsite (Houston, TX 77002 – 4 days/week, Mon–Thurs)
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (Contract, potential to extend/convert)
Compensation Range: $40-64/hr

The Learning Technology & AI Solutions Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and hands-on expert responsible for optimizing the learning technology ecosystem and driving AI-enabled, data-informed learning solutions at enterprise scale.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic oversight and optimization of LMS, LXP, LRS, and authoring tools

• Evaluate platform performance, adoption, and data integrity to drive improvements

• Assess, select, and manage learning technology vendors and influence product roadmaps

• Translate emerging AI capabilities into practical, ethical learning solutions

• Establish governance and guardrails for responsible AI use (privacy, bias, compliance)

• Partner cross-functionally with Digital, IT, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders

• Automate manual learning processes using AI and workflow tools

• Develop standards, documentation, and enablement resources for learning technologies

• Ensure risk identification and compliance alignment across learning platforms

Requirements:

• Must-Haves:

  • 7–12 years of L&D experience, including 3–5 years in learning technology

  • Strong background in adult learning methodologies and frameworks

  • Demonstrated experience implementing AI-enabled learning solutions

  • Enterprise LMS/LXP/LRS ecosystem expertise (SCORM, xAPI, learning analytics)

  • Vendor evaluation and platform optimization experience

  • Experience translating business needs into scalable, tech-enabled learning solutions

  • Strong technical aptitude with excellent communication and change management skills

  • Enterprise-scale implementation experience

• Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience automating manual processes through AI tools

  • Microsoft Copilot experience

  • Experience with Articulate, Storyline, NovoEd, Snagit, Camtasia

  • Spanish language fluency

  • Experience supporting deskless or frontline workforce learning
