Front-End Developer

GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a  Front-End Developer  with strong  React  experience to support a long-term modernization initiative. The project begins with enhancements in an existing  Angular v8  environment, transitions into an  Angular upgrade , and culminates in a full  Angular → React migration  across a large enterprise application in 2026.

Remote Expectations: Â Remote acceptable; onsite collaboration during key migration sprints preferred

This developer will play a key role in building performant, reusable interfaces, collaborating with UX, engineering, and product teams, and contributing to both short-term feature work and long-term architectural changes.

Project Profile (Short-Term → Long-Term)

Short-Term

UI-Focused Work

• Enhance and support current Angular v8 screens

• Deliver new UI features, screen updates, and performance tuning

• Work at ~75% UI / ~25% UX with collaboration from design

Medium-Term

Angular Version Upgrade + Modernization Prep

• Support migration from Angular v8 → later Angular version

• Assist with system-wide codebase readiness for React migration

• Help maintain consistent UI patterns and reusable component structures

Long-Term

Full Application Migration: Angular → React

• Contribute to migrating  200+ screens  to a modern React architecture

• Assist in a major UI/UX redesign to support multiple user personas and personalization workflows

• Build scalable React components, patterns, and design-system elements

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end components using  React

• Support and enhance the existing  Angular v8  application

• Optimize UI performance, accessibility, and responsiveness

• Contribute to design systems and reusable component libraries

• Integrate front-end code with RESTful APIs

• Collaborate with UX, engineering, QA, and product teams

• Follow Agile processes and modern front-end standards

• Write clean, maintainable, testable code

Required Technical Experience (3–5+ years)

• Production-grade  React  development

• Hands-on experience with  Angular  (v8 or newer)

• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)

• TypeScript and component-based architecture

• SASS/LESS or similar preprocessors

• Git, version control, CI/CD pipelines

• State management (Redux, NgRx, Vuex, etc.)

• Micro Frontends or Monorepo structures

• AWS Amplify, Firebase, or similar cloud-native front-end tools

• UI testing tools (Cypress, Jest, Jasmine, Protractor)

• Responsive, mobile-first, cross-browser best practices

• Strong communication and Agile/Scrum collaboration skills

Highly Desired (Not Required)

• React or Angular certifications

• Experience with major UI modernization projects

• Experience supporting UX workflows or persona-driven design
