About Houston
ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team
We are looking for experienced production engineers who will be responsible for setting clear standards to achieve and sustain best-in-class production optimization organization. Also, foster an entrepreneurial spirit and help make production optimization easy for business units around the world through various initiatives and efforts. The role will be placed on the Houston campus, but field visits to business units around the world are expected.
What you will do
Develop, govern, improve and provide guidance of production optimization processes and programs:
PO Capability Strategy Development, Planning, & Stewardship Production Optimization UBP Capacity & Allocation Management UBP Digital / IT partnership Global PO training
Support production optimization through reservoir and well optimization, facility optimization/debottlenecking, restoration of idle wells, production generating wellwork, and increase awareness of advanced process controls
Collaborate cross functionally and cross BU to influence and support optimization activities from Reservoir to Sales-point (i.e., Reservoir, Wells, Facilities, Operations)
Improve tools and workflows, leveraging production optimization support teams
About you
We are looking for someone who has a strong production engineering background and has the following qualifications:
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of BS in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering discipline
5-15 years of relevant experience in production engineering related roles
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-directed with the ability to recognize/pursue solutions required to solve problems
Ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, as well as adapt to tight deadlines and frequent shifting of priorities (ability to support active development)
Ability to work in a fit-for-risk environment
Ability to work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team with other disciplines including operations, IT, production accounting, reservoir, wells, facilities and flow assurance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to lead and facilitate meetings and group discussions; good public speaking skills
Ability to travel to business units around the globe as needed
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
Strong analytical and communication skills
Demonstrated work experience in upstream operations
Ability to support an active development via frequent engagement with cross functional teams
