Based in Austin, TX | Hiring: Golf Starter at Austin Country Club

Pay: $19 per hour

Schedule: We offer shifts from 8-10 hours, Tuesday-Sunday. We ask that you be flexible and willing to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

From the moment you step onto the course, you're part of a rhythm that keeps everything running smoothly. You greet members, verify tee times, and maintain consistent play by coordinating with the golf shop. Throughout your shift, you restock ice and water, collect balls from the putting green, and uphold club policies. Whether assisting with early morning tee-offs or reconciling billing in the evening, your professionalism ensures that every member enjoys the full Austin Country Club experience.

Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to Harvey Penick, one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived. As a private, family-oriented club that is rich in tradition, we are known for the quality of our membership and unmatched customer service that exceeds expectations. We are located along the banks of the Colorado River with Austin's iconic Pennybacker Bridge as our backdrop. Spanning over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, our property is just 10 miles west of downtown Austin.

THE GOLF STARTER WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• High school diploma or equivalency
• 1+ years of experience, having country club experience is a plus!
• Basic understanding of computer operations
• Strong communication skills
• Possess a passion for delivering top-notch service
• Team player
• Ability to put your best foot forward and present yourself professionally
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and outdoors
• Ability to manage multiple tasks
• Ability to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and a golf cart
