Patient Care Technician Job Details – Dallas, TX

• Location: Dallas, TX 75237 – A thriving Texas city with diverse culture, renowned dining, and beautiful parks
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital
• Employment Type: Travel Patient Care Tech
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $900 - $920/week
• Start Date: August 11, 2025
• End Date: November 10, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (18:30 – 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Unit: IRF Division (Med Surg, Rehab)
• Patient Ratio: 1:7
• Scrub Color: Royal Blue

Patient Care Tech Qualifications

• Active CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or CNA in a hospital or rehabilitation setting
• Associate degree or higher in a related healthcare field preferred
• Strong clinical support, problem-solving, and leadership skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with excellent communication skills

Patient Care Tech Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care and clinical support under nursing supervision
• Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises
• Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and recovery progress
• Operate hospital equipment such as IV pumps, EKG machines, bariatric beds, and medication dispensers
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Support patients recovering from stroke, amputation, major surgeries, and complex medical conditions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive hospital environment
