Senior Accountant

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team on a 4–6 month contract. This role is responsible for controlling, processing, and reconciling general ledger accounts, supporting the monthly close process, and preparing journal entries to ensure financial records are accurate and compliant with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly analytical, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments and manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment. This position operates on a hybrid schedule. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly journal entries
• Perform monthly reconciliations of selected balance sheet accounts
• Review preliminary financial statements for accuracy and completeness prior to close
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate general ledger data
• Ensure appropriate channel and category mix
• Analyze and report significant P&L and balance sheet variances
• Manage royalty, commission, and rebate accruals and payments
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures
• Document accounting policies and workflows as needed Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA preferred)
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of ERP systems
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and present information to all levels, including senior leadership Compensation & Schedule
• Pay Rate: $26.73/hour
• Duration: 4–6 month contract
• Schedule: Onsite M-F 8AM to 5PM work environment What We’re Looking For
