Pharmacy Admin Assistant

: Village Lane Rx is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a vital member of our pharmacy staff, the successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our pharmacy. The Pharmacy Admin Assistant will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, assisting with customer inquiries, and supporting the overall workflow within the pharmacy. ***This position is onsite, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, in the North Richland/Colleyville area at our closed door pharmacy. NO REMOTE CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED***

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and documentation.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain and update pharmacy records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and secure pharmacy environment.
• Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from customers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Assist in keeping up-to-date with changes in pharmacy laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in recordkeeping for controlled substances in compliance with regulations.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and organizing paperwork.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in pharmacy administration is a plus.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in using pharmacy software and computer systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
