Quantitative Analytics Data Science Manager - Vice President
Job Summary
As a Quantitative Analytics and Data Science Manager within the Auto Data and Analytics team, you will lead high-caliber data scientists and analysts to deliver advanced analytics and reporting solutions. You will drive business performance through insightful data analysis, modernize reporting infrastructure, and foster innovation using big data technologies. You will help create dynamic dashboards and intuitive reports that empower the business to self-serve data and make informed decisions.

You will play a critical role in transitioning our analytics and reporting processes to modern architecture and cloud-based solutions. The team is committed to continuous improvement, leveraging the latest tools and techniques to optimize portfolio performance, operational efficiency, and customer engagement. You will also support the development of programs to enhance associate skillsets and drive user adoption of visualization applications.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop SQL code to mine large, complex data sets using tools such as Toad and Alteryx
- Apply critical thinking to understand business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build analytical and statistical models using Python to address business needs
- Demonstrate leadership by taking ownership and accountability for assigned projects
- Adapt to evolving business priorities and deliver strategic solutions
- Design and develop visualization dashboards that summarize performance metrics and KPIs
- Enable self-serve data capabilities for end-users through intuitive reporting solutions
- Provide strategic partnership to advance data architecture, governance, and democratization
- Collaborate with business partners to identify, prioritize, and execute projects
- Manage execution and delivery of multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Promote innovation and continuous improvement in analytics and reporting
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or related field and five years of relevant work experience
- Six years of experience producing and overseeing advanced analytics work
- Two years of people management or project lead experience in analytics
- Strong oral and written communication skills to present solutions and recommendations
- Experience executing large-scale automation initiatives using data preparation tools such as Alteryx
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as Tableau, with a focus on quality and best practices
- Proficiency in big data technologies and programming languages including Python, Spark, or Scala
- Solid experience developing reporting solutions and providing data analytics
- Ability to perform independent research and discovery in data environments
- Adaptability to new technologies and data tools, working independently and in teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines
- Advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience driving user adoption of visualization applications
- Demonstrated ability to foster innovation in analytics and reporting
- Experience training and developing associate skillsets
- Knowledge of modern cloud-based data architecture
- Experience with data governance and democratization initiatives
- Proven track record of delivering impactful business solutions
