Field Service Engineer – UPS / Critical Power Systems

Seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to support our growing team in delivering exceptional service for UPS and critical power systems . This is an exciting opportunity to work with mission-critical infrastructure across a variety of industries, including data centers and commercial facilities.
What You’ll Do
- Perform startup and commissioning of UPS and critical power equipment
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on single and multi-module systems
- Troubleshoot and repair UPS systems, battery plants, switchgear, STS, PDUs, and related equipment
- Execute power audits and technical site evaluations
- Complete detailed field service, status, and critical action reports
- Support large-scale installations and collaborate with internal teams and OEM partners
- Respond to emergency service calls as needed (including nights/weekends)
- Provide customer education on system operation and maintenance
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience with UPS systems and critical power equipment
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution systems and electronic theory
- Experience with major UPS brands
- Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Hands-on experience with testing, troubleshooting, and field diagnostics
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel regionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronics or related field
- OEM certifications on UPS systems
- Experience with generators, ATS, and fire alarm systems
- Background in data centers or mission-critical environments
