Job Summary
Th e Storekeeper is responsible for executing product and material handling activities within the warehouse while ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards. This role includes receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and shipping inventory materials, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting warehouse operations.
Job Description
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and shipping/receiving area.
- Comply with all applicable company policies and QHSE requirements.
- Inspect, label, receive, store, pick, pack, issue, dispose of, and cycle count inventory items.
- Receive supplier deliveries and verify materials against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Report damaged goods, shortages, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Ensure outgoing shipments are properly packed and accompanied by complete and accurate documentation.
- Optimize warehouse bin locations to improve efficiency and safety.
- Support inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventory activities.
- Perform kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
- Investigate and resolve inventory and warehouse issues when required.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment after completing required training and certification.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
S kills Required
- 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or materials management preferred.
- Experience receiving, issuing, and storing materials.
- Familiarity with inventory counting and stock reconciliation processes.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP systems such as SAP or similar).
- Ability to use barcode scanners and warehouse management systems.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel, email, and data entry.
- Material receiving and inspection procedures.
- Stock storage and binning practices.
- FIFO/FEFO inventory management methods.
- Cycle counting and physical inventory processes.
- Basic warehouse safety and safe material-handling procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Education
- High school diploma/GED or technical education required.
- Technical or vocational training in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations is a plus.
Pay Rate
- $20 per hour (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
