Women‘s Health Nurse Practitioner Position in Austin, TX
Our affiliate, Unified Women‘s Healthcare of Texas, is looking for an experienced Women‘s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to join our well-established practice, Hill Country OBGyn in Austin. This NP will join a compassionate group who provide a team approach to patient care. Every member of our staff is focused on making the patient experience in our office individualized and meaningful.
Position Highlights:
- Join an established and successful practice that has served women in the Austin metro area for over 20 years.
- Practice team consists of 8 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners along with a great support staff.
- This is a clinic only position and does not require any call, nights, or weekends.
- Duties include seeing obstetrics & gynecology patients, completing charting, calling back patients with labs, answering patient phone calls, patient education, sending prescriptions electronically or by phone, and administering medications.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic women‘s health conditions.
- Counsel patients on contraception, fertility, and reproductive health options.
- Patient Census in Clinic: up to 20-30 per day.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Perform and assist with some minimally invasive procedures that can be completed in the office, such as pap smears, endometrial biopsies, and IUD placements.
- Will assist physicians with scheduling major surgical procedures at the St. David‘s South Austin Medical Center.

Requirements:
- Women‘s Health Nurse Practitioner certification
- Unrestricted, active Texas NP licensure or ability to obtain
- Current Unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain
- CPR, BLS, and NALS Certification or ability to obtain
- Proficient in assessment and development of treatment plans
- Ability to communicate with patients, team members and management staff
- Ability to make care decisions based on the best medical practices without direct supervision or guidance by a physician
- One year of full-time experience as a Women‘s Health Nurse Practitioner is preferred
