General Laborer
Job Title: General Laborer
Reports To: Supervisor
Department: Precast Division and Construction Division
Location: Kerrville, Texas
Summary: Perform wide range of duties on various projects. Training will be provided. Must have the ability to work with others and without close supervision by performing the duties including but not limited to the following:
General Duties and Responsibilities :
Use of proper safety procedures and Personal Protective Equipment is the top priority
- Clean and prepare areas for work (for example: dig trenches, clean up rubble and debris, remove waste materials; strip and clean forms and products, set up, form and pour)
- Measure distances from grade stakes, drives stakes, and stretches tight line.
- Construct and install forms, bolt, nail, align, and block- up under forms.
- Cut, bend, place, tie rebar
- Wreck forms and prepare products to enter inventory
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools and equipment
- Product yarding and truck loading
- Assist in installation of products
- Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade specifications.
- Level earth to fine grade specifications.
- Shovel, vibrate, smooth and finish concrete and concrete products.
- Maintain clean job site, pick up tools & equipment, secure jobsite each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Perform materials handling & storage
- Maintain good attendance, good communication with team members, and a positive attitude
- Other duties as assigned
Working conditions and Physical demands
- Primarily outdoor & indoor work areas
- Ability to lift, push or pull items 50lbs or more
- Requires often climbing, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, stooping and twisting
- Able to use tools and equipment
