Purchasing Assistant – Round Rock/Pflugerville

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to support our purchasing department in day-to-day operations. This role is essential in ensuring timely procurement of materials, maintaining accurate records, and supporting smooth supply chain operations.

This position is in our Pflugerville/Austin location. Ideal candidate must have above average computer skills, be diligent, meticulous, have excellent attendance , and work overtime as needed. Ideal candidates must be able to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and follow specific instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with placing and tracking purchase orders.
• Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and back-ordered items to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues, confirm order details, and schedule deliveries.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to confirm deliveries and assist with receiving inventory into the Warehouse Management System while verifying quantities against purchase orders.
• Assist in researching suppliers and gathering quotes.
• Assist with entering and updating product costs and pricing in the Warehouse Management System.
• Order and manage office and warehouse supplies as needed.
• Support the Purchasing team with administrative tasks and reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Warehouse experience in electrical or lighting is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP or WMS software is a plus.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

This full-time position is hourly plus benefits including health insurance with employer contribution and a 401k plan with an employer matching contribution. We also offer availability to vision, dental, and life insurance coverage.
