About the Role:
The Hospitality Accounting Supervisor at JVK Hospitality will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the hotel. This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting department, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and standards. The supervisor will lead a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions. Additionally, this role will involve collaborating with other departments to optimize financial performance and enhance overall guest satisfaction. Ultimately, the Hospitality Accounting Supervisor will contribute to the hotel's success by maintaining robust financial practices and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as financial reporting standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience with hotel management software and accounting systems.
- Previous supervisory or management experience in an accounting role.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights into the hotel's financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, policies, and procedures, conducting regular audits and reviews.
- Lead, train, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that support the hotel's operational goals and enhance profitability.
