  • Implement security and compliance automation early in the development lifecycle (shift left).

Key Performance Objective #3: Improve observability and reliability of systems (20%)

  • Collaborate with product engineers to ensure applications are instrumented with metrics, logs, and traces.
  • Design proactive alerting and monitoring strategies that help developers identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Support incident resolution with deep understanding of both code and infrastructure.

Key Performance Objective #4: Mentor and lead DevOps engineers and contract developers (15%)

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to DevOps engineers with a focus on developer enablement and productivity.
  • Oversee contractors and ensure consistent delivery of reusable, scalable infrastructure and tooling.
  • Evangelize DevOps and DevEx best practices across engineering teams.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Passion for developer productivity, automation, and system scalability.
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with leadership, development teams, and external partners.
  • Highly experienced working with Agile methodologies and DevOps best practices.

Preferred Experience:

  • AWS certifications.
  • Experienced with secure development standards (e.g., SOC2, CJIS, OWASP).
  • Prior contributions to DevEx initiatives like inner source tooling, platform engineering, or developer portals.
  • Exposure to cost optimization strategies for cloud environments (FinOps).
