How you'll make an impact Job Title: SIU Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $62,500 - $122,000
Location: Brownsville, TX
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required for non-traditional hours based on business needs)
Position Summary:
The SIU Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Special Investigations Unit, including hiring, training, and managing personnel. This role provides leadership in identifying and investigating potential fraudulent insurance claims across all lines of business. The ideal candidate brings a blend of investigative experience, industry knowledge, and strong managerial skills to drive fraud detection, ensure compliance, and protect company assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and run all aspects of the SIU department, including staffing, training, and performance oversight
Provide direction and subject-matter expertise to SIU personnel and adjusters
Assist in identifying and evaluating potentially fraudulent claims across various insurance lines
Prepare and deliver timely, comprehensive investigative reports while maintaining cost-efficiency
Track and report SIU performance metrics through dashboards and analytics
Lead major case investigations and facilitate collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including claims teams, NICB, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies
Conduct and coordinate SIU/Claims roundtable discussions
Stay informed on industry fraud trends and legislative changes to ensure proactive fraud prevention strategies
Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred — or equivalent law enforcement/military experience
Active Texas Property & Casualty Adjuster License (licenses in additional states a plus)
Minimum 3 years of experience in investigative and supervisory roles
Strong understanding of local, state, and federal fraud statutes
Proven ability to work independently with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
