RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Full-time position with ASAP start required
• Must have ventilator and pediatric ICU experience
• Temp to perm position possible
• Required certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)
• Texas RN License or compact state license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days
• Precepted by designated trained staff member during initial onboarding
• Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Pediatric Services-specific competency validation
• Annual competency verification requirements must be completed
• Provide routine and complex nursing care using nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers
