Irrigation Manager - Commercial
The Commercial Irrigation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the irrigation operations for commercial properties, ensuring exceptional service, efficient project execution, and team development. This role combines technical irrigation expertise with strong leadership and business skills to oversee project planning, staff training, and client relationships while driving branch performance and achieving revenue goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding Southern Botanical’s standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Position Responsibilities:
- Partner with the Senior Irrigation Manager to coordinate resources and schedules, ensuring the department runs efficiently and meets budget requirements.
- Support the irrigation team by building and maintaining project schedules and updating Account Managers on progress and timelines.
- Coordinate and assign projects to team members, ensuring work runs smoothly and meets Southern Botanical standards.
- Track and complete all required daily, weekly, and monthly tasks in Aspire to maintain accurate project timelines and workflow.
- Visit new properties to evaluate systems and provide recommendations that support long-term success.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing vendors and subcontractors.
- Visit jobsites daily to provide hands-on training, complete site audits, and ensure our quality of work.
- Handle material purchasing and track costs to keep projects within budget and meet profit goals.
- Estimate and prepare proposals, present them to clients, and gain approval before work begins.
- Partner with Account Managers on programming systems and client proposals to deliver the best possible results.
- Ensure all projects follow city codes, permits, and regulations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support branch and irrigation operations.
- Attend and collaborate in weekly task force meetings.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in irrigation installation, service, or management; commercial experience preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of irrigation systems, hydraulics, and controllers.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, layouts, and specifications.
- Experience leading and developing a team in the field.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, scheduling, and job costing.
- Experience using Aspire or similar landscape management software.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
- Landscape Irrigator License required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with a focus on teamwork and customer service.

Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes, but is not limited to hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and safety glasses. This position requires the ability to work during inclement weather events.
