Enterprise Architecture Data Architect

About the Role

As an Enterprise Architecture Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust data framework that ensures high-quality, accessible, and secure data across the organization. This role requires expertise in data modeling, database design, data governance, and cloud-based data solutions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business goals, ensuring seamless data integration and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities

Data Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive data architecture that supports business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Data Modeling: Design scalable and consistent data models for both operational and analytical systems.

Database Management: Oversee the design and maintenance of database systems, optimizing performance and security.

Data Integration: Define and implement strategies for seamless data flow across on-premise and cloud environments.

Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, application architects, and business stakeholders to align data strategies with overall enterprise architecture.

Emerging Technologies: Evaluate and recommend new data technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the organization's data capabilities.

Data Governance: Enforce data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Typically requires 13+ years of relevant experience, with at least 8+ years of direct work in data architecture.

Proficiency in data modeling tools and best practices.

Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and compliance standards.

Ability to effectively communicate architectural decisions and strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Expertise in SQL, Python, and other data management programming languages.

Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

In-depth knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data warehousing, and ETL processes.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $173,300 - $288,900, with additional compensation opportunities such as annual bonuses and long-term incentives. Final compensation is determined by experience, skills, and market considerations.
