Commercial Door Hardware Technician :

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Door Hardware Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of commercial door systems and associated hardware. This includes but is not limited to locks, closers, exit devices, automatic door operators, access control systems, hinges, and door frames.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, adjust, and maintain commercial door hardware according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards

• Diagnose and repair issues with mechanical and electronic door components.

• Conduct field measurements and site assessments to determine proper hardware requirements.

• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and quality work.

• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.

• Accurately document work performed, materials used, and time spent.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of key systems, electronic locking systems, and low-voltage wiring.

• Familiarity with major commercial hardware brands (e.g., Schlage, LCN, Von Duprin, ASSA ABLOY, Dormakaba, etc.).

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with access control and electronic security integration.

• OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety training.
