Position Overview: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for processing and managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate financial records, and facilitating timely payments. This position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and knowledge of accounting principles.

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will:

• Process and review vendor invoices for accuracy, documentation, and approval.
• Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
• Maintain organized financial records and assist with audits.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal departments for smooth financial operations.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Required:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or similar systems preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

License/Certification

• Valid driver’s license.
• Not required but preferred certifications in accounting or finance are a plus.
• Prior experience in construction is a plus.

Working Environment & Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of sitting may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed.
• Requires up to 10% local travel.
• Occasional extended hours and overtime may be necessary based on business needs.
