Technical Accounting Manager

Role and Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in strengthening the company's financial reporting and compliance posture. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who excels at applying complex accounting guidance, strengthening internal controls, and building scalable, compliant processes. With high visibility to leadership, this position offers the opportunity to help shape the financial reporting function within a growing, fast-paced industrial organization. Core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Apply US GAAP to support accurate, policy-aligned financial reporting and month-end close
• Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and lease schedules (ASC 842 compliance)
• Support external audits by compiling workpapers, documentation, and account analyses
• Collaborate with tax partners to provide data and schedules for corporate tax compliance
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and supporting documentation
• Identify and implement improvements in close, reconciliation, and reporting processes
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, operations, and auditors to align reporting and compliance
• Contribute to special projects including ERP enhancements, acquisition integrations, and policy development

Qualifications and Education Requirements· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.· CPA preferred but not required.· 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong focus on technical accounting, audit, and tax compliance.· Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and financial statement preparation.· Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and lease accounting (ASC 842).· Public accounting background or experience with external audit support preferred.· High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics GP a plus).· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.· Experience with reconciliation tool implementation.Preferred Skills

· Experience with ASC 842 lease accounting software.

· Familiarity with tax provision processes and sales/use tax.

• Experience with financial systems implementations or upgrades.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
