Job details:

Position: RN – Labor & Delivery SNSN SN
Location: Brownfield, TX.
Shift: Days – 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Duration: 12 weeks

Job Duties

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor & delivery, nursery, and mother/baby units.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care for patients.
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs.
• Support newborn care immediately after delivery.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe delivery outcomes.
• Float to Med-Surg when no OB patients are present to remain available for incoming cases.
• Maintain accurate documentation using OBEX and CPSI/Trubridge systems.

Requirements

• Active RN license (Texas or compact state)
• AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NRP certification required

• Ability to work independently in a low-volume, full-scope L&D setting
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg when needed
• Strong adaptability and critical thinking skills

• Average 12–14 births per month (low-volume unit)
• Single-unit hospital – nurses handle full OB cycle
• Scrub color: Pink preferred (not required)
• On-call pay: $8/hr | Charge differential: $5/hr
