Logistics Traffic Control Specialist

Location: Remote - Must Reside in one of the below states to support OnTrac West - AZ, CA, CO, ID, NV, TX, UT, WA Pay: $18 - $20 per hour Shift: Wednesday - Sunday from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST Employment Logistics: A Traffic Control Specialist facilitates communication between all parties of the supply chain including delivery drivers, vendors, and the customers. It is their responsibility to ensure the quick and safe delivery of products by resolving issues and delays that arise along the way. Unpacking the Benefits:

The Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 1 year of related experience and/or training in the logistics industry or equivalent
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Applications, to include Excel
• Experience using Oracle is a plus

Your Mission in Motion:

• Maintain shipping records for all terminals in an organized electronic file system; Track/record the arrival/departure times of incoming/outgoing loads.
• Coordinate with individual warehouse and transportation to ensure timely and accurate arrival and departure of incoming and outgoing loads.
• Maintain schedules of traffic activity; Enter and verifies arrival/departure times and pallet/piece counts to ensure accuracy of data entered.
• Calls carriers for late and/or no-show trucks for ETA's of drivers and notifies respective terminal(s) and proactively identify concern lanes during the off hours.
• Track space on the vehicles identifying if additional vehicles are needed or can be condensed, helping to reduce cost. Communicate any additions/deletions/changes of loads from the customer(s) to the respective terminal(s).
• Compile data and prepare reports for management to understand any concern items, late trailers, breakdowns, etc.
