Production Development Technician
Engineering Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support production process definition to ensure optimization of cost, quality, and on-time delivery of product. Each day, you will participate in the sequence definition, cycle time calculation, and analysis of the working phases of new production processes/products. You will also showcase your expertise by sharing cycle time data with internal teams. The work model for the role is onsite #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Automation, Energy Industries Division in Sugar Land, TX. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Preparing technical documentation regarding the process phases, related methods, and cycle times.
- Supporting production during start-ups by training indirect and direct staff.
- Ensuring that updated process and technical documentation are provided to Supply Chain Management teams to support supplier evaluations and proper supplier agreements.
- Participating in the definition of action plans, training of relevant Maintenance and Production teams, and other support activities during the internal/external process and equipment start-up.

- Associate's degree preferred, or high-school degree and comparable military technical training
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution environment, preferably in continuous improvement, quality, or inventory control.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word); SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to safely operate powered equipment such as pallet jack.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to changing situations.
- Detail-oriented, team-focused, and flexible to work different shifts and overtime with little or no notice.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
