Cut Thread Machine Operator

Job Title: Cut Thread Operator (Temp‑to‑Hire)

Location: Arlington, TX

Shift: 2nd Shift (2:30pm - 11:15pm)

Pay: $17.00 / hour

Job Summary:

Our client in Arlington, TX is hiring a Cut Thread Operator for a temp‑to‑hire opportunity. In this role, you'll be responsible for loading raw materials into specialized cut thread machines to form precise threads on fasteners and other metal components. This is an entry-level to mid-level role that requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to read a tape measure accurately .

Key Responsibilities:

• Load raw metal materials (bars, rods, etc.) into the cut thread machine.
• Monitor threading process and ensure consistent output quality.
• Inspect finished parts using basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, gauges).
• Adjust material feeds and machine settings as needed.
• Follow written instructions, production orders, and safety procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and assist in minor maintenance tasks.
• Work with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to read a tape measure accurately.
• Comfortable working around machinery and lifting materials up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Dependable work history and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Experience operating threading machines or similar mechanical equipment.
• Exposure to fastener production or metal fabrication.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, or thread gauges.
• Understanding of production paperwork or quality control steps.

Required Skills:

• Ability to read and understand a tape measure (imperial units, down to 1/16”).
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on reliability.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with threading processes or threading machine operation.
• Basic math and measuring skills for part verification.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a production team.

Contract & Conversion Details:

• Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
• Evaluation period determined at time of hire.
• Performance and attendance will be reviewed for full-time conversion.
